This slicing looks like the one that was at the mouth of the black water creek were it joined the greenstone creek the high face in the background is a clue but in saying that it could be anywere on the coast ,The water for the black water claim come from high up the greenstone creek behind teremukau settlement I believe the race was 12 miles long over gulleys and cut into the side of the mountain if you know were to look one can still fine it an engineering feat on it own

One of the clues to identifying these sluicing photos is the size off the larger stones. If not there a lot of locations can be cut out. The bottom right shows larger stone over lying fine gravel . This suggests an alluvial deposit that has been overlain by a later glaciation?

There was a large hydro sluicing gold recovery operation at moonlight inland from Blackball.I cannot at this time remember its name.
