DescriptionWondering if anyone has published are is willing to share with our family the history of the drapery company T W Tymons and Co., Greymouth?
My sole focus is to determine if and when my grandmother Ethel McGregor (nee Hill) purchased the Blackball drapery business of Tymons & Co. presumably sometime after 1923 when Wises' Directory notes her as manageress on behalf of the company. As evident in this photo from the 1950's McGregor's was a drapery on Hilton Street, Blackball.
PapersPast is of course fantastic, and the archival photos and conversational details in WestCoast History website is an excellent visual extravaganza of information. However I'm wondering if perhaps someone may have inherited records of Tymons & Co that might make mention of negotiations or perhaps closure of the Blackball branch of the company. I remember Tymons had a shop in Tainui St Greymouth. That would have been in 1950-60's
