The only Les Kent I knew was my supervisor at Westland Breweries in the 70ths. Lived in Kaiata.

This photo is of my Mum and Dad’s wedding 28th April 1945 Greymouth Jean Smith(nee Cameron,Jack Smith bridal party Ross Cameron,Val Smith,Les Kent,Pearl Faulkner.Mum was a Cameron and grew up on Omoto Rd,Kaiata.Dad and Mum were great friends of Les and Eileen Kent who also lived in Kaiata.I have photos of there wedding but never seen this one thanks.Date of Photo28th April,1945.Map^[1]ContributorAlison McKone

Les and Eileen Kent lived on Main Rd Kaiata just north of Golf Links Rd. As far as I can remember they didn't have any family.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he was a painter at the Brewery along with Ian Howard. I recall him coming into Smith and Smith when I knew him. A lovely man.
