I wonder where it is now. The red lion was favourite meeting place for the fire brigade. The original pumps were horse drawn.
May be relevant to the new fire museum at the heritage park in hokitika

We have the original shandy and Mason horse drawn pump at the heritage park along with numerous branches hose couplings etc. We also have a livery with the original hall stagecoach that took the last paying passengers across the pass when the tunnel was opened. I'd love to see it polished up and on display.
Would you consider gifting or loaning it to the park.
