DescriptionStephen Wright.."I took this photo at Gladstone in either December 1981 or December 1982. Behind the white car at left is where Hebbard Road reaches the level crossing. The station building sat opposite the old sawmill but had disappeared from the scene by the 1980s."

I had to look on Google Maps satellite view to find the location (at Hebbard Road where it meets the railway) and checked it against one of the photos in West Coast Recollect. I also checked a 1963 aerial photo on the Retrolens site. The small Ogilvies building on right with my friend standing in front of it has gone and the big sawmill has also gone. Chris Yeats Builders has a building which covers one part of the old sawmill. It appears to be a new building rather than part of the old sawmill which has been shifted but it would need some local knowledge to say 100%. Hope that helps.
