Hiria Apanui Just to ‘tidy’ the boys for the photo. Very common. Another thing was to get the boys to cross their arms high on their chests - especially in a rugby photo - a cultural thing to make the boys look ‘manly’. Nothing creepy about it. Made them feel ‘grown-up’ too.
