Brian McIntyre Thanks mate its not a picture I have seen before, There look to be two big water pipes on the right. Sorry no idea. It will be one track for full boxes and one for mts. It looks fairly flat so probably a winch and return wheel at the other end.

Neville Burt I’ve never heard of Coalbrookdale. The Brunner Mining area was called Coaldale in the early years.

Where ever it is steam train tracks and with the wire ropes it will be a steep incline ....as to where anyones guess

A quick look Buller mines had pit ponies not used above ground as they had self acting rope roads.

Crow Bay That was my first thought looking back towards middle brake where it bridges the river. If it is, the horse stables would be to the right down hill a little bit

Ken Campbell The pipes look like steam pipes and their appears to be a race of coal about to cross the viaduct and the deputy or underviewer as well as having a davies lamp in his hand it looks like he may be holding the key to the curve perhaps lol?

I will settle for just outside the entrance to NO.2 liverpool mine Rewanui. I did not spend a lot of time there so I may be wrong but like Ken that was my first impression.
