That hall served lots of purposes I learnt dancing there early 50s Also watched adulds playing housie fundrasis. Fancy dress shows. Concerts, Sale days, Scottish Dancing club, Indoor Bowls. If only walls could speak.........

The Dobson hall was also used to run Euchre on Tuesday nights by Rose and Len Green for many years as a fundraiser for the Catholic church. I also taught the Dobson school kids how to dance rock n roll in there around the year 1990 for their school concert.

Mike Waghorne I can't remember Mum and Dad running housie, but I joined in with the Euchre games sometimes after Mum died, as I went and helped Dad with the supper.

Sunday night movies in the late 50's with the Gillman boys cars all lined up outside. Also does anyone else remember the blood donationing that I think Patty Wilson ran. She got a good turnout as we all received a long kneck of Monteth's best to get our strength back.
