I remember a function in the St Columba Hall one Saturday morning that may have been to launch their Coca Cola franchise. Several of us had rather too much free Coca Cola and suffered later in the day. Des Barrow may have been a fellow guzzler. Happy Days???

Was 16 at the time .I remember the rep from overseas who oversaw the intro. I was there with uncle Jack Curragh who worked at G & B's as a rep for wine and spirits. I also worked at the factory with old Burt in the school holidays. I remember taking home a red wooden box of coke.

Me too. The Rec my first first ”local” as a lad. Often hiding in the kitchen when the door bell rang once! 43 cents a jug back in the early 70s.
