had to move out of the hut, water running down the passage and young deno diving off the pool table, fun times.

Dave Maitland was that the ‘26 inches in 24 hours’ flood? I sat & watched the ditch in the golf course become the raging torrent that ripped through the pub

Wendy Bruce yes was the swing bridge from the golf course.was washed down the creek and got stuck under the main Rd bridge, that was what created the issue for the hotel.

Sadly it is Derelict, no license and needs demo or a ton of work. Sits on wet land.

I stayed there many times in the 1980s when Kevin and Jill Hannah owned it,, my name is in the visitors book a few times [ i wonder if the book still exists],, the meals were great with home made scones as i remember ,, the were great hosts and thats why i always stayed there on many of my trips to the coast,,

Its a bloody disgrace now. You have to put time and money and hard graft into maintaining these old pubs. This disrepair doesn't happen overnight. Its years of neglect. Aunty Mary's was triple the size and its still a beauty.

stayed there for about a year in the hut out the back when Bruce and Noni Palmer ran the place , i also worked in the bar at nights and weekends for free accomadation.
