It may have been Arthur Rooney who use to make things out of leather. He made a couple of belts for me, if indeed it's the same shop.

I wasn't living on the Coast in the 90's but I have heard Robert Wanrooy once had a vege business in the vicinity of Revell Street that Tom Belton mentioned.

I think this may have been the front entrance to LWR (Lane Walker Rudkin) Industries building, Baz.

Trish Barry Andrews Yes. I remember LWR from prior to leaving the Coast at the end of 1980. Mention of Rob's vege bin by Stephen Foster makes me think this may have been Robert Wanrooy's operation. Rob's father told me after I returned to the Coast to live that Rob had once had a vege business in this part of town while I was away living off the Coast.

Rebekah Fairhurst Geer Ta. As I mentioned I wasn't here in the 90's so don't know but was adding that Rob Wanrooy at one one stage had a vege business in this part of town. Don't remember Rob Dixon but do recognise the building in question.

I think Rebekah FG is correct. It was Rob Dixon sold veges and Ben Gaia sold plants. The backpacker on the corner was flats, then Willie McPhedran's backpackers, then Colin Cutler's first Trappers.

commerical flats were not 2 far from this place and then it was a bike shop built or pet store harry keena had a shop not far maybe Hemi Mason might know. Beachcomber in the back or it might of been called Trappers
