DOC building at Aicken.

Description Aicken base. Was DOC building. Used to be in the car park where the walking track leaves to head up the Taramakau River on the side of SH73 just west of Eddie Evans. Was transported somewhere west probably 20 years ago. The rock and fence are still there.

Yep was moved to Fox Glacier about 1997... it's on the left as you come into town from the north.

I helped shift it to the forestry depot where Aratuna Freight is now in Arney st back in the eighties for Ferguson’s Earthmoving

It was first a nzfs hut. I stayed there in 74 with others when we did Arial 1080 poison carrots in the inchbonne area and surrounding areas.
