I'm a Hokitika girl. I always say home when I refer to there. I just spent a week exploring Karamea, Buller and Punakaiki Something I never did in my 25 years when it was on my door step. The best views, smells, bush and people. I'll always be a proud West Coaster

Jacqueline Evans the profits always went out of the coast since the late 1800`s.. the Waiuta mine was owned by guys in London and when some Waiuta miners knocked on the door they got the door slammed in their face.. the Mine owners didnt even want to meet them. Dad told me that.. he said a Waiuta Miner told him about that when he went on his trip to London.Karen Green
