Maggie Riordan back towards Nelson creek but only as far as the next Bridge. The stream was called deep creek. The hill the left side of deep creek was where the mine face was. When we went through in 1999 the hill had gone. All that remained was a pile of tailings. In the original mine days there was a water supply for the mine piped through the Hill from the stream at the farm.

Kelly’s hut and water dam are still intact today although over grown with gorse

Kelly was such good fun....I remember a story about him and his friend Dave Bryant driving a car once when they were pulled over by the Police when they were both driving the car....the reason was one had a bung leg so the other was doing the clutch while the other was doing the accellerator.....cops let them off with a warning and safely saw them home.....had a great laugh afterwards.
