DescriptionPhoto of my Great Grandfather Tom McKenzie, ( holding horse ) he owned a carrying business in Reefton around 1868, coal and timber. Later moved to Capleston where he and his wife Kezia bought a hotel and share in a timber mill supplying pit props to gold mines up Boatman a Creek. Wife Kezia was buried in the Boatmans Creek cemetery and Tom buried in old Reefton cemetery which was totally destroyed in 1968 earthquake.Date of Photo1868Map^[1]ContributorPeter McKenzie
