DescriptionStillwater school after the second classroom (in the background) was moved onto the site. Note the tall chimney for a wonderful open fire. One big room with a wide corridor the length of the building, once you enter the door through a small porch.

The corridor was big enough for a second teacher to run the class for infants. She never complained about the conditions.

Immediately in front of the big windows the section soon sloped down steeply to the Arnold Road. We children each planted a native shrub or tree in what we called The Shrubbery. We were very proud of it, and it was soon a whole bit of bush.Helen O'Dea
