The Bell Hill Sawmill. I can add a couple more names here. L - R, Micky Shand, Noel Nestor, Peter Guenole, Gip Dalziel, Keith Klempel, ?, Dutchy Gillman, Jack Kermeen, Frank Rutherford. The bus is a straight 8 Studebaker. My father, Colin Bell, and Dutchy Gillman leased the mill from Jack Brothers. Dutchy ran the Bush and my father ran the Mill.

there is more to the story re the bus , your brother Colin and I used to possum hunt in the school holidays , we decided to try bell hill , long Tom Mears loaned us his . 22 rifle and we would hide it on the bus the night before , next morning Colin and Towser and I would get a ride to bell hill and have a great day possuming , fortified by a great lunch your mum used to make for us . towser was colins dog .

Trevor Molloy Towser lived to a good old age. He died in about 1968 when we were living at Camerons.

Lyn N Moe. Allan Steel. It was a Studebaker Straight 8 and was ex Wyldes Motors. I can remember it in later years sitting rotting in the old Drying Kiln at Kotuku and the thing I most remember is that it had 2 carbide lights on the front. After it 'died' my father and Dutchy used a flat deck truck with a canvas cover to transport the men from Kotuku to Bell Hill. See the attached photo.
