Are those "things" in the middle of the river still there? Just curious, haven't seen a photo like this before.

I am sorry but the date attributed to this picture (1905) I believe is not correct. There are no visible cranes on the wharf and the wharf is half built does not even extend to the navigational stand opposite the goods shed let alone the one at the end of the wharf. Perhaps 10 years earlier.
