A real gentleman. I remember him as a sprint coach and race starter for the Greymouth Athletic Club.

Worked with him at Greymouth Evening Star in late 70's/early 80's - Was a fantastic linotype operator and a really nice person. It was very rarely that he didnt bike to work, bike home for lunch, back again and then bike home after work.
