DescriptionAnother formal portrait of John Miller Langdon (1863-1896). He was a significant member of the Brunner Rifle Volunteers, but here he poses in a different uniform with a sword. Military/uniform is not an area of personal historical knowledge so I'm not sure if this was the same volunteer organization or a different one from the later 1893 portrait by Vivian Kerbins where he's likely dressed as captain of BRV. He has a whistle pinned on the sash, attached to a badge which possibly has a prince of Wales feather design, it's hard to see as the detail is blown out.Map^[1]ContributorDarian Zam
