Muriel Piner took lots of Runanga youngsters and taught them how to play. I kept playing every time we transfer with Neil’s job would join a club to make new friends. Des was out chaperone and bus driver. Thanks to them I have Friends in lots of places throughout NZ

Thanks to her encouraging me to play gave us young ones a new interest. Loved the game and was able to play in many parts of NZ and made many friends along the way. Bung knees meant end of playing but badminton was a big part of my life.
Joan is still playing ,Covid-19 has meant a lot of time out.

Albert did play for Runanga as did my brother Ken Brown. Alan Wright and Ken won the West Coast mens doubles aged Alan 15 and Ken 16. Young ones. Ticca Findlay was in the West Coast team when I was in it. Passed way way too young very sad. Yes Muriel Piner took us youngies some fantastic times could write a book eh Claudio and Peter Gray !!!!!
