New Jack Gardiner real well. Langridges rented the old house between Gardiner and Bonar creek bridge. He sold the farm about the same time road contract finished and took over the "Pioneer" hotel in Hokitika. Was two daughters, one was Helen and the other I think was Jean. Long time ago. I knew Snowy well. A real taskmaster at the Municipal Pool who thought we were all softies if we said the water was too cold. He trained som good local swimmers and was a good bloke. He and Famie were good patrons of the Rec.
