Dorothy Wills Newman's started with coach's Nelson to Murchison in late 1880s...in 50s/60s they were running two buses through Murchison ..one then went down Buller gorge to Greymouth the other through Lewis pass to Christchurch...And yes you could always count on the Newman's bus being on time...an free paper to the grader driver...( my brother). lol
