I first went there in 1974 with the Woodstock cricket team. I don't remember the checked end wall from then. Either it changed by then or I have forgotten.

Did anybody notice the glass etched painting hanging on the wall? Which I believe the Forrest’s had commissioned. This is now mounted on my bedroom wall, thanks to Tonys association with Nippy.

The back bar used to be the place to go on a Friday and Saturday night as well for a great night out.
