I'd probably be one of the best people in the country to ask as far as social history knowledge when it comes to commercial Artists and even I have no idea who did this. Looks like it was done in the 1950s. shame there's no clue as far as name or initials.

Darian Zam , certainly would be good to know. There can not have been many commercial artists in N.Z. at that time and doing that style of work.

Well it does remind me a little of work the Cowan brothers did for governemnt publications in the 1950s like school journals and bulletins. There was a time between the 1930s and 1960s when it was more commonplace for government and council orgs to commission a mural for a building. Better known Artists who did quite a few in that period were Ernest Melvyn Taylor, Leonard Mitchell, Russell Clark and Bill Sutton to name some. Sadly most of them have been lost and therefore any remaining examples are very valuable. They discovered a Taylor one in some old boxes in Auckland a couole of years back.
