Went over there several times. A great trip as remote enough to remain unaltered by vandals, do-gooders etc.

Visited a Denniston mine when it was open to tourists. Loved it and it was so safe as safe as a mine can be. Surprised it was closed later.

My dad worked there for a brief time, got a ride in a coal cart, down the incline, and of course back up. Reckon is was 1967 - 69.
