‘I remember coming back on the bus and we stopped at the Cobden bridge. The streets into Greymouth were lined with people like we’d won the Ranfurly Shield or something.’

It was a great final at Whangarei, we had a plane load of supporters, and Glen Stuart piped us in with his bagpipes, and from memory, piped us in and out of a few pubs. A fantastic atmosphere.
