I remember it from the 1960's and 1970's. That sort of transfer label was known as "enamelling".

There were icee Lemon and Bitter lemon, they put a label on the bitter. Dont know if it was a prank but a publican in Reefton went crook because the bottles were all stuck together in the crate from excess glueing.

The Forests were my Dad's first cousins and every Christmas we would walk up to holy city to visit another aunty and then after lunch we always went down to Grogans and Blackmore factory and watch the soft drink bottles getting filled and always got a lovely bottle of soft drink. We used to love going there.

My uncle "Tum" Glenn worked at Grogan/Blackmores for many years, not sure what his job was but he was there for a very long time.

Holycity is long gone, Council pensioner flats now accessed from Blackmore Street.
