I think the 'cart' might be a barouche. Barouches were popular with the well-off and upper classes.

Brian Wheatley The horse drawn vehicle is a landau with two hoods that meet in the middle. A barouche has one rear mounted hood only. The car, with its splendid vertical striped livery in the European style, appears to be a large Clement Talbot.
