The Coates family had a big 2 stories house behind a thick thistle hedge the Mc Donnells bigger house on the corner of Pukerahi street

Bill Garth That’s right. I remember the hedge. I used to think it was mistletoe. The two houses at street level beyond the phone box - Flannagans lived in the one on the left and O’Donnells lived in the one on the right. The old school dentists was somewhere there too before it was moved.

Paddy O’Donnell lived in the house next to the school house. In the mid to late 70’s the school house was home to Form 7 classes. Unfortunately for them. Brother Alberts office overlooked the backyard so highjinks had to be kept on the QT. Sister Susan Ashby worked in the left hand side rooms.

Darian Zam Yes, but I do understand with the way things get shared around that when people find the images the attributions have often already been lost. I just try to add the attribution to HK if I see it missing.
