I spent quite a bit of time working and recreating there in 1978 & again in 1980. There were still a couple of wooden headboards at the old cemetery then. As part of NZFS work and personal interest I walked all the old pack tracks that linked the old gold fields in Granville Forest. Ces Clark and I sign posted various historic sites at Napoleon Hill but my understanding is that these were not maintained beyond the demise of the Forest Service on 31/03/1987.
