Garry Wick I'm a rock hound. Spent first half my love on gold mines fossicking for Pounamu as my Papa did and his papa who worked the dredge opposite Arn Bradleys. This family is still farming the north Bank of the Arahura river. A story goes the dredge had hit a honey vein. The gold was spilling out of.the buckets spilling over the rifle box and on to the deck. The dredge captain ordered his crew at the end of the shift to hose the gold and gravel of the deck as he got payed for meterage not the Gold. I know where that vein is and the wash. Sshh mums the word.
