Peter B Iveagh bay.
Apparently was a Marlborough sounds postal boat but been at the lake a long time, sat on mooring Cashmere Bay, broke off and washed up on beach, it was removed and has been sitting the paddock ever since, well past its day.

Bob Homewood It's name is Peter B was was a postal-passenger boat out of picton. I don't when or who brought it to lake brunner.

There was a story in the ChCh Press a few weeks back that there are many boats moored throughout NZ that have been abandoned and councils just end up disposing of them by breaking them up as they are unsaleable.

Was owned by Peter ray, when he also owned the Moana hotel early 90’s the skipper was Don… can’t remember last name, boat was named M.V mañana (most likely spelt that wrong) was on board when we got washed up onto the beach in Bain bay with a load of school kids.

Our family owned the Peter B for a while . It's original name was Hutawai & we renamed it after we had done a big refit ...it was renamed after a family member who had passed away.
The Don person referred to was
Don Murray who once lived at Te Kinga & skippered the launch for Peter Ray.
Many a happy family fishing trip around Lake Brunner was had on the Peter B.
