Globe Hill Social Club Disbanded
Recently a meeting of the Globe Hill Social Club decided to disband the Club.
Mr F Collis took the chair, on the motion of Messrs Morgan and Jones.
It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Askew, seconded by Mr C Chandler, that the balance of the Globe Hill
Social Club's Library books be donated to the Waiuta Hospital.
On the motion of Mr R. Scott seconded by Mr E Jones
it was decided that the copper stand, tea urn, and heating camp be presented to the Progress Junction Club, with the understanding that when they disbanded the above articles be handed to the Waiuta Hospital.
It was moved by Mr Chandler, and seconded by Mr Morgan, that the piano and cash in hand be handed to the Miner's Union with instructions to dispose of same and hand the proceeds to the AMA, Broken Hill - Carried. Moved by Mr Collis and seconded by Mr Chandler, "That seeing that all the members of the above Club have to leave Globe Hill through the closing of the mine, the Social Club disband."
The motion was carried.

Auntie Grace was mother’s favourite Auntie, i remember when she passed we went over for the funeral only to get to blackspoint to Alec & Doreen Cohen’s place & have the hill come down on the road so it was cross the river via a swinging bridge & walk the bank down to the next bridge at Reefton. They were great years spending holidays over there.
