Remember it well. All of the yachts were floating in n the boat shed. What a mess.
Fond memories of be part of an amazing Sailing Club along with my family.

Peter Campion That's sad to hear Peter. We had such a great time there. Families had an awesome time there on a Sunday. I've had the privilege to have met so.many amazing people there. It's a shame that the community isn't continuing with this. Is the club house still there?

Peter Arthur yes the club house is still up there Pete ,I spent some time there over the past month my Grandson is keen to learn so it has bought back great memories,our great family times plus as u say met some great people over that time it also gave me the chance to sail for Nz in the worlds Oks in the 70s
We would sail all day wouldn’t we 3 big races starting at 10 sharp thanks to our judges Fred

Peter Campion that's great news to hear that it's still thriving and now you're involved with your grandson in the sailing. Loved the OK'S. Very amazing yacht. Had many great races on the lake. We had some amazing sailors in the club, including yourself. I used to admire your ability on the water. Good old Fred Stapleton, how could we forget him..
All seems a lifetime ago now Peter.
