Would absolutely love to see more of these photos. I am a descendant of James Rugg, who ran a hotel next door to the Spiers for many years. I assume the final photo above is from after 1919 when Rugg's Kumara Hotel was demolished.

Keston Ruxton my Great Grandmother Mrs Charlotte Lewis ,Had Pearns Hotel across the road from Ruggs Hotel and Spiers Shop,Mrs Lewis bought the old furniture from Ruggs Hotel 1918 for Pearns Hotel
