Max was awarded his QSM years ago (2nd medal in on ribbon), also the Police Volunteer Medal(1st bronze medal). The two medals in top left corner are from his Grt Uncle - Battle of Jutland, Battle of Somme the second medal on ribbon is Grt Uncle - Boer War (he took his horse from Hokitika and managed to bring back a military saddle made in Canada 1902 which Max still has and he used it on Haast cattle drive when he was 17). Third ribbon medal Engineer WW1, then the gold one is WW1 Civilisation (all his Grt Uncle Bart). His Uncle Avery Clerk of Court Hokitika, medals - the star is from WW2 Battle of Brittan, then medal for Defence, WW2 medal and the last one is Medal for Service to New Zealand..... that is a GREAT haul and we Anzacs are proud of those who sacrificed = Lest WE forget.
