Mick's Inn bar as mentioned by Lynnette Beirne was quite narrow and was just a sliver of the left (parallel to Revell Street) part of the newer 1960's renovated corner section of Hotel Westland. The photo reminded me of the Dewar's Scotch Whisky advertising sign near the Mick's Inn corner entrance. From memory at the back (north end) of Mick's Inn there was an alley way exit on the other side of which was a billiards/snooker room where you had to put coins in a slot to get the lights over the tables to work. The billiards establishment was not owned by Hotel Westland to my knowledge. I was not a regular at Hotel Westland but did visit from time to time.

Glenn Johnston the snooker room had a full sized table, snooker billiards and pool, and legally you had to be 21 to be in there, it was owned? and run by Bernie Groufsky, but as long as you behaved (no fights) and were careful with the table, he would turn a blind eye

The door near the corner was the entrance to the public bar. In later years tne windows on Revell st were frosted so that you couldn’t see in. Or out. The lounge bar was to the right was more elegant. The other door was the main entrance to the hotel (where Stumpers hotel entrance still is) and the dining room was to the right of that.
In the 80’s Micks Inn was further along Revell st and not in the photo.
