However – it may be a Christmas parade. There is a motor car parked in some of the pictures so it must be after 1910 (Post WW1 victory parade??). Circa 1920?

Band appears to be wearing army uniforms, I would say end of WW1 victory celebration. Wade's Cycle Depot was built about 1910, still there today as Showcase Jewellers, restored and earthquake strengthened.

People look to have to many clothes on for Christmas. I wonder if it might be a victory celebration for the end of ‘The Great War’, but presumably that would have happened in November 1918, which they still look very warmly dressed for.
