Les Vincent was cutting timber around the foot of Mount Sewell when we were building the TV translator up on the mountain in 1970/71 A very nice man was Les I think he had a son called Ray who was in the communications branch of NZR in the Brick House till he moved to Christchurch. He retired back to Greymouth but I think he passed away a couple of years ago.

Colin Skates Just to confirm about Ray Vincent from the brick house, he was my 1st cousin and he had 4 brothers, Allan, Jeff, Tony and Jamie and their father was Tom and mother Elsie who was my father’s sister and they lived in Karoro down one of the little side streets going to the surf club.
