Anthea Rosethanks Anthea. I remember a collision on the small bridge just up from Bernie Giles property. Max got smacked around a bit. Very long time ago probably mid 60's or thereabouts. Hi Max I remember you. Used to play with sail boats on Mahinapua. Cheers bud

Grant Taylor seven digit plate so can't be registration. The Buick is a 1924 four cylinder model.

Carnerd Mark correct but not far off on the road by all accouts.

Carnerd Mark The Chassis number relates to a vehicle built in Canada in 1920. Has been traced back to there. It came to NZ and was registered in 1924. and from memory Max informed me that Anthea Rose did the donkey work for him on that issue.

Geoffrey King the painted, rather that plated, radiator of that shape is distinctive to one model of Buick only, the 1924 four cylinder model. It was the last year of the four cylinder Buick, and the first year for four wheel brakes.

Deane Blanchfield Exactly Deane, and unfortunately there are some in the community that are so bitter towards him, jealousy me thinks, including one cousin who took him to court over Council matters and lost.

Looks very much the same as ‘Aunt B’, the Nimmo 4 cylinder Buick also built in Canada, first registered in 1923. Before Dad acquired it in the late 60’s it was owned by the Fowkes. Mr Fowke was the headmaster of Ngahere School when my mother was a junior teacher there around 1950.
