Ivan wrote the book, "Kiwis Can Fly" about internationally successful NZ track athletes back in 1976. (mainly about John Walker and Rod Dixon) Ivan was Hokitika born and got his start in journalism as a cub reporter for The Grey River Argus in Greymouth.

Grant Jamieson yes grant he was in the Greymouth Harriers club for many years he used to run out to the strongman mine from Greymouth where he worked and was killed in the 1967 strongman disaster Eddie Gray rang me a while back and we had a good chat about the old days.
