DescriptionThis photo, taken in about 1941 At Waiouru Military Camp, features at least four West Coasters. Kevin Molloy at the front third from the right. Bill Prendergast, who used to drive for Westland Breweries, and Bobby Hammill, who used to travel for John Burns, are standing at the back. Strawberry Mathews, who used to work for Ford Motors, is in the centre at the back. Can anyone identify those faces for their exact position? Strawberry Matthews was referee when West Coast rugby league team beat Great Britain 17-8 at Victoria Park in 1946.

Kerry Molloy Shorts more than likely to stop getting too wet as you will notice that they are all standing in water. The rest of the place was under water due to flooding.
