DescriptionNot a great photo but it is of Uncle Gordon Barnes in his bulldozer, after leaving Lake Moeraki just past Boulder Creek. He worked for a road construction Co Ryan Bros from Christchurch. In fact he worked for them for a very long time. He also worked in the Millerton Mine and at the Stockton open cast mine, he drove the General Motors trucks that were left behind by the American Army during WWII. Mike StevensI can't either Mike and I can't remember it. But it was very distinctive as hardly any machines had owners names on them. It was a big loader for the time based on a D6 gear drive
