Our family lived on omoto road ..we spent hours of fun picking up tickets off the ground after the races ..also there were stables where some of the horses were kept .loads of fun ..!and playing in the haystacks after every one had gone .

Lived up above the racecourse and loved walking through the grounds Watched the last meeting held there on tv was really shocked at the state of the rails and surrounds Looked so unkempt

He was a fireman and got the brigade in to torch the old stand.The new one is named after him.

My father caused the fire in early 1988 that burned down the apartments that used here....
