I remember "Love in a fowlhouse"from the radio request sessions in the mid to late 1960's when I was still at primary school. A quirky song that stuck in my head not that I got all the meanings back then. I've attached Garner Wayne's lyrics; I fell in love with a pretty little hen
I've asked her once, but I'll ask her again

Crikey, I must be old - I remember most of these and can still sing the words!
In those days songs had proper words, and once you learned the words it was easy to remember the tune .
