We lived for a while at 24 Chapel St about 3 doors uphill from this building.

I witnessed a Greymouth lad being ordained into the priesthood in the church next door. The old church also has sad memory's too. The beloved Monsignor James Long must've knew his time had come and made his way to the alter. He lay face down, his arms spread out and quietly passed away. RIP Mons.
