Jock Allen Mum and Dad spent their married life in Moana. They sold the Moana house and we were living temporarily in Blackball, while they found a suitable house to buy in Greymouth. However, while living in Blackball, Dad died suddenly. We left Blackball immediately and stayed with family in Moonlight (Atarau) for several months after Dads death before Mum bought a house in Greymouth.

Phil Millar mum was the daughter of Nancy and Danny Doolan from Moonlight just past Blackball

Phil Millar not that I know of but Mum was a Doolan from Atarau. Big family that got dissipated around NZ when our Great grandparents both drowned in the Grey in 1908. Granddad(Maurice - better known as Danny hence the pub name) was 2 at the time. Mums sister Claire (Gillman) was bridesmaid and in the background of that photo. Mum had four brothers Maurice Kevin Michael and Jim. Jim is the only survivor
