Anthea Rose George hab thit pinned up in his small work side room off the main corridor in westland high. He read verses to me from time to time. The full version is great. He was one of the best teachers (even though he was doing the maintenance) during my time, teaching many of us more about life and preparation for after school than many a teacher. Nothing but respect for him

WEST COAST

A real west coaster.A storekeeper in early Cobden who also serviced the early beach goldminers to the north from his Cobden store by packhorse using the Point Elizabeth track and the beach at low tide as his highway. He was drowned at the mouth of a flooding Seven Mile creek at Rapahoe trying to get home from one of these trips.
