Description George G’ is the farmer from south of Harihari. He transformed a bush into a dairy farm, by axe. He won many light weight boxing titles, as well as axe events. He is Malcolm MacRae’s father-in-law.

He was brought up in Bright St. Cobden. Here he is, with a grey cardigan leaning on the car. BTW. I notice your DNA in my Ancestry.com results, Wendy.Map^[1]ContributorRichard Poole

Thanks Heather. I must print this out for my 'album.' My mother Shirley Perkins (nee Stewart) and father were very close to him and his wife Jessie. We called him Uncle George but he was some sort of cousin of mum's. How are you related to him?

Do you have any ideas of what years he was boxing. It could be my great grandfather might have been his trainer. (Capt William Mollison) who trained boxers around greymouth/rununga and lived in Cobden in Bright street. I do have some pics of him with his teams ..but not sure if this gentleman was old enough to be amongst them,
